• 1 bulb garlic
• 1/2 onion (yellow)
• 1 green bell pepper
• 1 lb ground beef (extra lean)
• 5 8oz. cans tomato sauce
• 2 12oz. cans kidney beans
• 1 chopped tomato
• salt & pepper
• garlic powder
• 5 white mushrooms
• olive oil
• 5 tbsp. chili powder (at least!)

Brown ground beef with chopped garlic, chopped bell pepper, and chopped onion. Drain the grease. Add the other ingredients and simmer. Don't spare the spices and remember to taste and season frequently.

You can put in more chili powder if you want it spicier. 5 tbsps is what normal people seem to be happier with (but masochists like me really like to add 8-10 tbsps.) My mother added 2.

This is my award winning recipe. Really! I've won chili-cookoffs with it!!! It's a family recipe with my own personal spin. I think my mom originally copied it off a can of tomato sauce. She made changes. Then I grew up and started making it and I made changes too. The real secret is in the garlic!

Properties:

This will help any cold or flu. The chicken broth boosts the immune system as does the garlic. Chicken soup is an old time cure for winter bugs. The funny thing is that medical science has now figured out that there are actually immune-system strengthening agents in chicken soup! The garlic will help break a fever. The heat will help clear out congestion. Besides, it's easy on the stomach and tastes great when you feel like hell. The is my own adaptation to an old family recipe (they didn't put in as much garlic).

Optional: add mushrooms.

This is yummy served with garlic or french bread and a little cheddar cheese!

Meditation:

Attract love, sex, and passion. Think fiery tomatoes and hot sauce! Think of the extravagance that beef represents. When you pour off the grease, you are skimming the fat -ridding the love of the baggage and general shit you may bring with you. Tomatoes magickally represent love and sex. Hot sauce represents passion. And garlic is protective.

If you add in the mushrooms, you are also attracting a little magick too!
